Grape Experience offers three WSET Levels of Sake courses: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Level 1 is a fun one-day introduction to sake. Level 2 is also a beginner course but goes into great depth then Level 1. Level 3 offers a more in depth study of this beverage. All courses are taught by sake experts and led by the renowned WSET Certified Sake Educator, Marina Giordano.
WSET LEVEL 1 AWARD IN SAKE
A beginner level sake class for people working in a career in the beverage industry or anyone who has an interest to learn about sake. This qualification offers an exploration around the main styles and types of sake through sight, smell and taste to understand the key factors affecting flavors and aromas. WSET LEVEL 2 AWARD IN SAKE
If you’re keen to explore the world of sake, then WSET’s Level 2 Award in Sake could be the right course for you. It is intended for anyone wishing to learn about the different styles of sake and how they are made, as well as those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 Award in Sake The WSET Level 2 Award in Sake focuses on how the ingredients used by brewers are processed and combined to create the many different styles of sake. It will also teach you how to describe and assess the quality of the sakes you taste. If you are a sake or hospitality professional, you’ll be able to offer valuable guidance on selection and service to your colleagues and customers. If you are a sake enthusiast, you’ll know exactly what to look for when choosing sakes for any occasion. |
WSET LEVEL 3 AWARD IN SAKE
A course for both professionals and sake enthusiasts. Designed for anyone seeking a more in-depth experience, this sake course provides a detailed understanding of the production methods affecting style, quality and price. You will be able to assess sakes accurately and use this information to make authoritative recommendations. The 2 hour and 15 minute examination has two parts:
Both parts require a pass grade to achieve the Level 3 Award in sake. You get a complete study pack with an exclusive textbook and study workbook, as well as access to an online study program prior to the in-person class meeting.
